Antek, a boy from a wealthy home with patriotic traditions fell in love head over heels. The object of his affection is Kuba, a teenage drug dealer. The boys have nothing in common. How to initiate a meeting? Can anything go wrong? This romantic comedy of errors smoothly transforms into social satire to end with an eruption full of emotions.

M. PACEWICZ (b.1992) is an award-winning filmmaker. He debuted in 2019 as the writer of Corpus Christi (dir. Jan Komasa), which was nominated for the Oscar for Best International Feature Film and the EFA in five categories, script included. The second film Pacewicz wrote, Suicide Room: The Hater (also dir. J. Komasa), won the Best International Feature at the Tribeca Film Festival 2020. Mateusz also co-wrote & co-directed Heat, a short which premiered at Sundance 2017.

The relationship between the social mask and true self has always been my obsession in filmmaking. In Stimulants & Empathogens, this theme gets a Molieresque spin of a romantic dramedy. Despite their social differences, both well-behaved, rich Antek and working class, drug dealing Kuba are forced to hide their truth in order to survive.
