Lesley Le Luo is a queer filmmaker based in Melbourne, Australia. Born and raised in Chongqing, China, Lesley’s themes explore queer diaspora, intimacy, lived experiences, and female subjectivity within Chinese and Australian cultures and landscapes. She has received numerous awards, including Best Director of a Short Film at the Melbourne Queer Film Festival 2024, Best Non-Fiction Short Film at the Multicultural Film Festival Victoria Week, and an official selection at the Environmental Film Festival Australia.

《拾荒归处》是一部环境纪录片短片,探讨酷儿移民静的环保故事。影片探讨主角Jing如何通过拾荒徒步在澳大利亚找到归属感,并以此为主题,探索她在减少垃圾方面的行动,以及她在维多利亚多元文化酷儿女性之间开展的社区组织工作。在陌生的环境中,拾荒徒步重塑了人与人之间的联系和对空间的归属感。

Outpicker is an environmental documentary short film exploring the story of Jing, a queer immigrant, and her environmental conservation efforts. The film follows Jing as she finds a sense of belonging through litter-picking in Australia, using this theme to explore her actions in waste minimisation and her community organising work among multicultural queer women in Victoria. In unfamiliar surroundings, litter-picking reshape human connections and a sense of belonging to space.
