影片所想表达的是：MAY YOU BE FREE TO LOVE。在青春期情感懵懂的年纪，有这样一群因社会环境、父母权威或缺乏性教育的青少年们没有机会或不敢认识自己，难以认同自己，更无法成为自己。主角思真在青春期的自我认同过程是痛苦的，她不能接受自己区别于其他同龄人的性取向，自己所热爱的事情也不被母亲认同，这让她在生活和情感的各个方面都感到困惑和迷茫。而章晴更早地经历了这种痛苦，她坦率且无所畏惧地追寻着自己内心所追求的人和事。

What the film would like to express is: MAY YOU BE FREE TO LOVE. In the age of adolescence, there is a group of teenagers who, due to social environment, parental authority, or lack of sex education, do not have the opportunity or dare to know themselves, they have difficulty identifying with themselves, and even more so, are unable to become themselves. The protagonist Si Zhen’s self-identification process during adolescence is painful, she cannot accept that her sexual orientation is different from other peers, and what she loves is not recognized by her mother, which makes her confused and lost in all aspects of her life and emotions. Zhang Qing, on the other hand, experienced this pain much earlier, and she frankly and fearlessly pursued the person and the things in her heart.
