阿尔温德是一名独立电影制作人和媒体专业人士，拥有十余年的丰富从业经验，以善于营造引人入胜的多媒介叙事风格而著称。他还是一位成熟的建筑师，拥有艾哈迈达巴德大学的艺术、设计与传媒专业硕士学位。他在职业生涯的不同阶段，曾以多种方式参与到独立电影制作中。他还担任过国际非营利组织的传播经理。2021年，他开始转而编写和执导自己的电影。2022年，他入选KASHISH QDrishti电影资助计划，用以支持他完成短片作品《敲敲的爱》。自2023年拍摄完成以来，《敲敲的爱》已入选多个国际电影节。同年，阿尔温德还入选酷儿框架剧本实验室十强选手，这是酷儿穆斯林计划和网飞的合作项目。目前，他正与四线娱乐合作，开发他的第一部剧情长片，一部酷儿浪漫剧。
Arvind is an independent filmmaker and media professional with over a decade of experience in crafting compelling multimedia brand narratives. A trained architect, he received his Master of Arts in Art, Design & Communication University, Ahmedabad. Throughout his career, he has worked on independent films in various capacities and previously served as the communications manager for an international non- profit. In 2021, he transitioned into writing and directing his own films. In 2022, he was selected to receive the KASHISH QDrishti Film Grant for his short film Taps. Since its completion in 2023, Taps has travelled to various international film festivals. In 2023, Arvind was selected as one of the ten finalists for the QueerFrames Screenwriting Lab, a collaboration between The Queer Muslim Project and Netflix. Currently, he is in the process of developing his first feature film, a queer romantic drama, in collaboration with Four Line Entertainment.

作为一名早已进入而立之年的男同性恋者，我想讲述一个与出柜、双面生活或一厢情愿的爱情都无关的酷儿故事。我致力于摆脱常见的酷儿刻板印象，所以他们的性取向反倒是次要情节。我一直希望在印度电影中看到积极正面的酷儿关系，既具体又能引起观众的广泛共鸣。《敲敲的爱》正是如此。这是一出生动的浪漫剧，受个人经历影响，呈现出情感复杂，真实可爱，贴近生活，又带有少许离奇色彩的鲜明特征。
As a gay man in my mid-30s, I wanted to tell a queer story that was not about coming out. Or living a double life or unrequited love.
My goal was to move away from the common portrayal of queer characters where their sexuality is secondary to the plot. I have always wanted to see positive representation of queer relationships in Indian cinema that are both specific and relatable to a broad audience. TAPS is that. Inspired by personal experiences, it’s a living, breathing romantic drama that is messy, real, cute, relatable, and bizarre.
