Queerness was and sometimes still is considered “un-natural.” Queer gardening challenges this “un-naturalness” by creating queer-feminist ecologies. Our documentary examines what horticultures look like when binaries such as nature/culture, human/more-than-human and body/environment are deconstructed in creative ways. Ella von der Haide collected 18 interviews with LGBTQIA*-gardeners about their relationships with plants and the land.

艾拉·冯·海德是一位充满创作激情的德国电影制片人和园艺师。获得城市和区域规划工程学硕士学位后，她曾数次前往美国、加拿大和世界各地担任社区园艺师、电影制作人等角色。自2004年起，她开始从事媒体艺术。她的许多研究、讲座、纪录片、著作以及舞台剧都是围绕女性主义、生态学、去殖民主义、LGBTQ+及社会生态运动等主题展开的。她最新的系列纪录片《我们可以种植出另一个世界！》（这也是她制作公司和系列片的名称）传达了她的希望。
Ella von der Haide is a passionate filmmaker and gardener from Germany. After her Dipl.-Ing. degree for Urban and Regional Planning, she went several times to USA, Canada and around the globe as a community gardener/filmmaker/gardener. Since 2004 she works as a media artist. Her many researches, lectureships, documentaries, books and stage plays evolve around the topics of feminism, ecology, decolonialism, LGBTQ+ and socio-ecological activisms. Her latest documentary series give a voice to her hope that: “another world is plantable!“ (also the name of her production company and fimseries).

这是我在2003至2022年期间拍摄的系列影片《我们可以种植出另一个世界！》第6部，描绘了世界各地的社区和城市园艺，这也是我的电影中最亲切的一部，因为它展现了生活在社会边缘的园艺家们的想法和心声。
This is the 6th film in my series of films about community and urban gardening around the world with the title “Another world is plantable!”, which I filmed between 2003 and 2022. It is the most intimate one of my films since it shows the thoughts and harts of gardeners that are living on the fringes of society.
