故事梗概 Synopsis
在中国南方小城,一位不敢暴露自己同性取向的高中男孩彭旭,在用假照认识一名网友后,一切悄悄发生了变化。他在现实的桎梏和内心情感的渴求之间挣扎,最终鼓足勇气决定与有着特殊情感的男网友贾思行见面,可相互试探之后却发现,两个人其实都有所隐瞒……
In a small town in southern China, Peng Xu, a high school boy who dares not reveal his homosexual orientation, meets an online friend with a fake photo, and everything changes quietly. He struggles between the shackles of reality and the yearning of inner feelings, and finally summons up courage to meet Jia Sixing, the male online friend with whom he has special feelings. But after probing each other, he found that both of them have hidden something.

李泽宁,一名正在学习讲好故事的青年导演,北京大学生电影节初选评委。作品关注社会现实,同时探索更多影像表达的可能性。短片作品曾入选罗德岛国际电影节(奥斯卡资格)、法国马赛电影节、意大利切法卢电影节、FIRST青年电影展、北京大学生电影节、IM两岸青年影展、澳门国际电影节等国内外电影节荣誉。
Li Zening is a young director who is learning to tell good stories, and is also a member of the preliminary jury of the Beijing College Student Film Festival. His films focus on social reality while exploring more possibilities of image expression. His short films have been selected and honored by several domestic and international film festivals, including Flickers’ Rhode Island International Film Festival (Oscar qualified), Marseille International Film Festival (France), Cefalù Film Festival (Italy), FIRST International Film Festival, Beijing College Student Film Festival, In Moments Film Festival, Macao International Movie Festival and so on.
导演阐述 Director’s Statement
如果一位男生喜欢同性却又不敢被人知道自己的性取向,那他如何找到真爱呢?为什么一个人要用谎言来掩饰自己的情感?当下,即使同性之间的这份情感摆脱了所谓病态与罪恶的枷锁,但在全球化的共识上,他依旧是边缘情感的一种。对于社会性属性极高的现代人来说,为了消解自己本身的差异性,拥有同性情感的少数群体就发明了“柜子”这个概念,仿佛只要有一个“柜子”在,他们就和大多数人是一样的。
在某种观点看来,对这种情感的隐藏和不承认,不仅是为了迎合主流,更是为了避免收到伤害。在现实社会中,有很多人总是像短片中靠排斥同性恋来维持自己直男形象的彭旭,用假照去面对自己心上人的彭旭……在虚拟与现实博弈的背后是自我认同的缺失,明暗角色的交替映照着当下社会每一个人对探索真我的渴望。短片在矛与盾之间用少年青涩敏感的视角讲述现代人的自我压抑和自我解放之路。诚如短片结尾淡淡的失落与悲哀,这个片子要做的是希望那些像彭旭一样躲在角落里的人不要害怕承认自己,即使是身在柜子里也可以渴望光明,个人的情感如果不被外部认可,也要在自己的心里发芽,要接受那个拥有不同的情感的自己,接受那个不同的自己,接受自己。
How does a boy find true love if he is gay but dares not admit it? Why should a man hide his feelings with lies? At present, even if this affair between the same sex gets rid of the shackles of the so-called morbidity and evil, it is still a kind of marginal emotion in the consensus around the world. For modern people with strong social attributes, to eliminate their own differences, the homosexual minorities have invented the concept of “closet”, as if they were the same as most people as long as there was a “closet” to hide in.
To some extent, the concealment and nonrecognition of this emotion are not only to cater to the mainstream, but also to avoid being hurt. In the real society, many people are always like Peng Xu, who in this film keeps his straight image by excluding homosexuals and shares fake photos with his love. Behind the controversy of virtuality and reality, it is the lack of self-identity. The alternation of bright and dark roles reflects everyone’s desire to explore the true self in the current society. Among the controversies, the short film tells the self-repression and self-liberation of modern people from a young sensitive perspective. Just like the light loss and sadness at the end of the short film, what this film wants to do is to hope those who hide in the corner like Peng Xu to be brave enough to face themselves and that even when they are in the closet, they can still yearn for light. If individuals’ feelings are not recognized by the outside, they should also sprout in their own hearts, and everyone has to accept the different but real self.
