埃默里·赵·约翰逊是一位定居在通瓦（洛杉矶盆地）的电影制作人，他的作品以那些为构建世界注入新愿景的动力为中心，包含了真实和抽象两种动力表达。短片作品《默》在2023年柏林电影节首映，并获得了泰迪熊奖提名。
Emory Chao Johnson is a filmmaker settled on the land of the Tongva (Los Angeles Basin) whose work centers on the real and abstract forces that charge new visions of worldbuilding. Their short 默 (TO WRITE FROM MEMORY) premiered at Berlinale and was nominated for a TEDDY Award.

《默》探索了连接纪录与虚构影像、档案与记忆之间的那道缝隙。通过巧妙运用遥远的亲密感，影片构建了一个通往主人公日常生活的混沌之窗。从这混沌不清晰的视角看去，生活的每一个时刻都蕴藏着打乱乏味日常的潜能。
默 (TO WRITE FROM MEMORY) explores the seams that connect documentary and fiction, archive and memory. Playing with distant intimacy, the film constructs an opaque window into the protagonist’s daily rituals in which each moment contains the potential energy to disrupt the mundane flow.
